This *is* a Quilting Blog!

I just haven’t had much time at the machine. But, nonetheless, my favorite long-armer – ok, my mom, but STILL my favorite long-armer – That Quilter has been busy quilting some of my quilts.

I am making an unexpected trip to Houston this weekend so I’ll be picking them up and attaching bindings real soon and should have some completed quilts to show off soon!

In the meantime, to give you some quilty content here and now, here is a cool website my mom directed me to: http://www.laurapetersonquilts.com/.  It is a quilt of a quilt show – very cool concept and looks very well done!

Finally, I am heading to Houston tomorrow to go hang out at the hospital with my sister for the day before her c-section currently set for Saturday.  Her silly baby girl has decided to come early and just won’t be stopped any longer.  (My sister’s water broke last Saturday at 33 weeks — they are simply trying to keep her pregnant until she’s 34 weeks.  Risk of infection, breach baby, etc., are necessitating the c-section in a couple days.  And considering she had 2 contractions that stopped her from talking in the 10 minutes I was on the phone with her today, I think she is desperate for Saturday morning to arrive.)   So good thoughts for my sister and her baby girl!

and because I can’t go without a picture, here’s one of my faves from this past weekend when the girls and I went to Colorado to see my brother & his family and for some sledding!
